My Monster CVs & Confidentiality Options

Mark Mills

Introduction

When you build your my Monster CV, you will have a confidentiality option which when activated hides certain pieces of Information from the employer view (Active & Searchable CVs). You can locate this option within the Contact Details screen of your My Monster CV.

Once you have accessed the Contact Details page, scroll down a little and you will notice a tick box and text in red 'Save my CV as Confidential'. The information, which is hidden from employer view, is as follows:

  1. Your Name
  2. Your Address
  3. Your Telephone and Fax numbers (If Input)
  4. Your email address
  5. The name of your present employer
  6. All references (If page completed)

Once you click Save & Continue at the bottom of the Contact Details page, this will save your CV as confidential and hide all the above information. So, how do employers contact you? Well, once you activate your CV and thus searchable by employers, Monster.co.uk place an email address at the top of your CV for employers to use. They simply click the email link at the top of your online CV and send an email as normal. Monster then route any email messages back to your own personal email address with which you registered. *Remember if you need to change your email address access the My Profile section of your my Monster account.
